Photo of the Feskekorka (Fish Church)The international airport that serves the region of Gothenburg, Sweden, is commonly referred to as the Gothenburg Landvetter. Standing in the town of Landvetter, the facility is the second-busiest air hub in Sweden, and only behind the Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in terms of passenger numbers.

Despite the fact that all passenger check-ins are handled at the International Terminal, the airport also features a Domestic Terminal. The International Terminal has both Schengen and non-Schengen areas. Only one runway at a length of 3,300 metres / 10,825 feet is based here.

About five million passengers pass through the gates of the Gothenburg Landvetter Airport annually, with more than three million coming from international destinations. Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle are the airlines serving the most flights at the facility.
